The publication of the Akani newsletter was suspended after
the July 2005 issue, when the CSIR embarked on a major reconfiguration
process (CSIR Beyond 60). One of the outcomes of this process was
the merging of the CSIR's strategic activities relating to the built
environment into a single unit, CSIR Built Environment.
Another outcome of the Beyond 60 process was the integration of Akani
with the CSIR
eNews, an electronic newsletter published monthly, focusing on
the latest research news and developments from across the organisation.
The CSIR eNews covers a broad range of research areas, including:
- defence, peace, safety and security
- built environment
- biosciences
- materials science & manufacturing
- natural resources and the environment
- information and communications technology
- laser and laser application technology
- metrology
- satellite applications
We sincerely hope that you will continue your subscription to the
CSIR eNews; should you however not be interested in receiving this
publication in future, please unsubscribe.
Thank you for supporting Akani during its lifetime; we appreciate
your interest in the CSIR's research activities.
Kind regards
Dr Hoffie Maree
Executive Director: CSIR Built Environment |
